What You’re Doing Is Rather Desperate

Well, everyone else was doing it

Everyone seems to be having fun with Wordle. Except for me, until I realised that all my machines were cursed with something named “icedtea-gcjwebplugin”, as opposed to the Sun java plugin. Problem solved. So there it is. But for the prominent “bioinformatics”, you’d never guess I was a biologist, would you. I do believe that this is telling me something.

2. I was a little disturbed by mine …. I had no idea I liked software so much. In fact, it doesn’t look too dissimilar to yours if you replace “python” with “perl” :)

4. My bug report would say “almost no java web apps work using this plugin + Linux”, so I might not bother! On the other hand, everything works with Sun java; this is one time when I put aside my open-source principles for something that just works.
