What You’re Doing Is Rather Desperate

Notes from the life of a bioinformatics researcher

App Engine for research #2

ResolveRef, a RESTful way to resolve PubMed queries by journal, year, volume and page is Andrew’s port of OpenRef to App Engine. Simple, but very effective and a nice illustration of how to get to grips with the App Engine environment.

Keep those “App Engine apps for researchers” rolling in, folks.

  2. I really like RESTful designed stuff. It took me a while to understand though, there’s not really a clear definition. For me at least.

  3. Mike: I’ve got to agree with you about the definition of RESTful … I’m not 100 % clear on it either … but then I haven’t actually read Roy Fieldings thesis. ResolveRef seemed to feel RESTful enough to me … I hope I technically correct in describing it that way.
